Calling All Ibanez/Hardware Experts! SR400QM unplayable after 1 drop!

Hi, new bass player here. I recently purchased a Ibanez SR400QM for 200 bucks, was super proud of the good deal I got. Unfortunately, I never bought any strap locks, and yesterday I dropped her good on the hard floor of my basement. Now, whenever shes plugged into the amp, horrible hissing static comes pouring out. I can still hear notes under the static if I play, but if I turn the bass up on the built in EQ, the signal to the amp cuts out completely. Does anyone know what the hardware problem could be? I suspect its the EQ, but any more potential details would be appreciated. I took her to a shop yesterday, they couldn't figure it out and referred me to an electronics specialist. I'm headed there Monday morning.

I tell you what. While I can't help with your problem, I can help with preventing a recurrence. PM me your address and Ill send you a set of these. Better than strap locks.

What are those? I haven't seen that before :bookworm:
They are oversize strap buttons. When put on properly your strap WILL NOT accidentally come off the button while you are wearing the bass. Plus there are no moving parts to squeak, it keeps the strap close to the body reducing strain on the screw, and ANY strap can be used. No special hardware and no need to modify the strap.

Pots are mechanical parts they might get damaged by impact.
Also a pot lug might get bent and create a short to the cavity shielding.
