Can I run GK 1001RB-II with Neo410 'full range' with 4 core speakon?

Hi all. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have a GK 1001-RB-II amp and GK Neo410 cab.

I've read numerous posts about people wanting to run non-GK cabs with GK biamp capable heads. My question is different:

My cab came with a 4 core speakon cable, for biamping. I don't have a 2 core speakon cable.

Is it safe to switch the cab to 'full range' mode while using the 4 core speakon cable which came with the cab?

It shouldn't be a problem, as long as you set the speaker mode to full range. Only the woofer/main knob on the amp will have any effect: the tweeter knob won't do anything.

Depends on which version of the NEO cab. My understanding is series 4 Neo cabs won't work because an NL4 plug won't fit.

Official word from GK is recent designs are using NL2 panel mount connectors, which do not accept NL4 plugs. This goes for amps and cabs. However early versions of some amps apparently still had NL4 plugs and some photos for series 4 Neo cabs show biamp capabilities and NL4 panel mount connectors, which do not exist in the production cabs. The official explanation is a prototype was used for the photos.
