Title says it all. Tired to strip a neck, citristrip soaked through the tape and got into the fretboard. What can I do?

Sorry I should have explained. I was stripping the finish off the back with citristrip. I taped off the fretboard but the stripper leaked through I'm spots. It's a rosewood board, not sure that anything is on it.

Try cleaning it with a shop towel dampened with mineral spirits. If that doesnt work, try features alcohol. If you're in a country that thinks its citizens are all infants so you can't get that stuff...try rubbing alcohol, maybe.

The citristrip won't hurt the wood, but it does make a mess. I've had this exact thing happen. It will clean up, but may take a liberal application of some solvent and elbow grease .
