I have mentioned Clint Houston on TB before. But I just listened to this today for the first time. This guy, IMHO, is awesome.

And the much older 2nd album ( Friends, with John Abercrombie ) that I am showing also blows me away every time I listen to it, which is often.

Totally off topic but I met Mr. Houston years ago through a mutual friend whose group he was playing in. As we shook hands I was aware of feeling the strength in his hand even in just a normal handshake. He was a phenomenal player but even after decades l still remember that handshake.

He died in 2000, age 53. I think from kidney disease but not sure.
