CME a new Ric color

So, someone put forth the idea that Metallic Plum would be a good idea and someone else agreed?
I.hate to say it but it's the exact same color as Voban, that pink vomit absorber school janitors use when Friday's tuna fish fights a losing battle with little Johnny's stomach.

By the way, while plums can be pink, orange or even green when people think "plum" they think dark purple. I just thought the guys at Rickenbacker should be know.

Don't mean to be mean but I just woke up after a long night and I'm still half asleep.

Those two colors were ordered a couple of years ago by a Japanese distributor. Or at least something very close. They named them Metallic Plumglo and Santa Ana Skyglo. Chicago Music Exchange must have liked what they saw and ordered their own batches.
They are both cool looking.

I wonder if maybe rickenbacker told Chicago music exchange: here’s what colors we have for you to choose from. And they show them recently used somewhat exclusive finishes from another market.

these colors are actually a couple months old....got the plum back in July and a month later the cielo..... in person the finish looks great!!!

Wait - you're a Wal collector and have 6 Rics on the side? :envious: :wideyed:

as far as the name plumglo.... it is rather "different"......I guess it's better than EBMM name of Raspberry Sorbet.... in my eyes it looks similar to a Jazz metallic burgundy mist
That's what's on my converted lefty MIM J, nice color. The Ric version looks a touch brighter or maybe a tad less "smoky", may depend on the light. Mine almost looks grey from some angles then morphs...

that's 3 strings more than I can handle ;)
very cool though!! which reminds me, im still wrestling with the idea if I want to swap white to black for the TRC and PG on the snowGlo....
I have a Tuxedo fretless too. Man, nothing sounds as unique as a Ric in the first place, but a fretless Ric - like a Unicorn with wings! :D
