Double Bass CNN series - NY Phil bass

Wasn't quite sure where to put this one. For those of you who haven't seen it, there is an interesting 10-part series on the CNN website CAREER section covering musicians of the New York Philharmonic. This week its David Grossman, 23 year old bassist who joined the orchestra last year. He won't say but does anyone know what he paid for his Panormo?

When I was dropping of my Mirecourt at my luthier's shop, Grossman was on his way over to pick up that bass. I had time for a very close look, then David and family came in and he played it for everybody. Gorgeous. But I must confess a high point for me was when he played and complimented my Mirecourt. It turned out my current teacher is his former teacher (prior to Levinson, who uses the same luthier), so there was abundant good cheer in the room. Grossman's bass has high shoulders, maybe too high for many players, but he's so tall he hangs over it with no fingering problems whatsoever, which is nice, because a bass that good should be heard being played at its best, by the best.

I've seen his jazz bass there a few times, Czech, all gut strings.
