Look who’s home! I managed to find one of my Wals and will hopefully have another two back tomorrow. Thanks to this post on talkbass, at least one person who purchased these on the damn street for pennies realized what happened and did the right thing. I’ll update with photos of the others I recover ASAP!

Hey guys! Quick update: after the orange mk2 (W3423) popped up on eBay, I contacted the seller and was able to get it and JG1114 back! The downside is the tweakers who stole them obviously had a good time with them. Both basses are broken to some degree. I’m figuring out the best way to get them properly restored asap. At the end of the day, I’m just very happy they didn’t end up in a landfill. Thank you all for keeping an eye out all these years.

Wow, I hope you get the rest back, that's insane. At the very least you have had the privilege to own some seriously nice pieces that many of us dream to play or even see. Unfortunately in a situation like this that becomes a double edge sword. While many of us can't even imagine the feeling of losing a collection like that that we don't have to experience the gut punch that would accompany it either. Glad to see you're finding them, if I come across one, I'll get ahold of you. Even the people finding these are going to be gut punched a bit, to have such a deal of a lifetime fall into your lap and then to have to give it up also has to suck. I'm starting to feel bad for everyone involved except the thief. I change my mind I'll keep an I out, and I DO hope you get your wals back, but I hope I don't find one of these.
