My girlfriend has been wanting to learn bass so I want to get her a nice bass to learn on, she's particularly interested in fretless basses but almost all fretless basses seem to be in boring colors like sunburst, black, plain white, ect. She would want something brighter even the classic fender colors like Daphne blue and sea foam seem to elude fretless unless its custom. I know fretless aren't as popular but the lack of color options almost shocks me, especially when you can get the same model Squier in sunburst fretless, but the daphne blue is only fretted.

Yes, they're both fretless.
Other than that, you might want to tell her to reconsider and simply learn on a regular 4-string bass where the color choices are unlimited.
Then, if she enjoys learning and sticks with it, she can always pick up a Sire V7 fretless if and when they start selling them again next year.
