Comparable Basses to Yamaha BB3000S

Hi TalkBassists! Maybe this is an odd question, but I am looking for a new (or used) bass. I have pretty much exclusively played my lovely Yamaha BB3000s for 35 years. Every other bass feels weird, but as I age, I'm looking for something lighter to wear, something easier to shlep around the city. I've been playing a bunch of basses at retail and none of them feel right to me. Any suggestions? Should I be sticking with Japanese/MIJ basses? I like my electronics simple and the neck slender by the nut. I know there are some specific Yamaha clubs and posts here, but some of them have been going on for years and are tough to sort through. Thank you!! Matt

What weight are you aiming for? Without knowing the weight of your existing bass, i can’t solve this SAT math word problem.
