I really need some help from you guys out there....
I am thinking about selling my Conklin 7 string bass guitar...it is the Bill Dickens BD-7.
Bass is not yet for sale here on TalkBass yet, because I have at least one (maybe two) people in my local area who are interested in it...but, here is where I need your help...

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF A USED CONKLIN BD7 MODEL THESE DAYS?
WHAT WOULD BE A FAIR ASKING PRICE?
Condition of bass is 9 out of 10. Color is the maroon wine color.
Picture attached at end of this memo..

I cannot seem to find any recent sale prices....last I saw was one that sold for $850 (used) in year 2005. I then saw one for sale somewhere in the past year I think for around $1200+ ???

Soooooooooo....what would be a reasonable price to sell the bass for? What are they worth (used) these days?

It looks like MF has new ones for $1869. I would generally any used bass to be right around half the price of a new one. So, if it were me, I'd probably start by asking around $1000.

But, eBay has a completed listing for one that appears to have sold last month for less than $825.

Agreed- around $1000 is good if it's in excellent condition. I've owned three- one was for $850, which I consider a real deal for one of these, the others were around $1k.
