Cort Curbow soft maple version

I see they have a new version of the Cort Curbow, anyone try one? Does the sound differ from the original? I had the original version, which I liked, but sadly sold it. Looking at one now, it is cheap too, but don't know if they aren't selling. Any input appreciated.

AFAIK, the soft maple version has been available for quite some time the last few years. I haven't played one though...

I own and still play the luthite version, 2002 Cort Curbow 6. The lightest 6 string bass that I've ever owned.
