Hello
I just recently received my Corvann.
This company is based in Columbia, and I must say, I am very impressed with the customer service as well as quality of the build. You can tell they value their customers.
Anyway I am in process of getting a set Spirocore solos to replace the preludes…And I wanted to ask while I was at it, what one would use to “smooth” the back of the neck? That is, to gently take off some of the lacquer in the back of the neck to make it easier and more comfortable to play?
I’ve read about using 0000 steel wool?
Maybe better to bring in somewhere?
Any advice regarding this is welcome
Thanks
Tom

Make sure to get the 3/4 size Spirocore solos if you are buying them new. Do you have experience with an Ampeg? The electric players will have the info on roughing the neck. I'd avoid it myself. Maybe there is some other way to slick it up?
I appreciate this advice, after looking around online and measuring, I did end up going for the 3/4 set. I’m probably not going to touch the neck myself. Not looking to get in over my head on this and end up regretting it.
This is my first “Baby Bass” clone. I have never played the Ampeg.
