Decent bass clef app ?

Not to be an asshat, and I'm sure that app is close to what you were looking for... but....
Your work (practice) is going to be best served with your bass in your hands. True that at the beginning stages you'll need to: 1. Look at the note, 2. Name the note in your head, 3. Find the note on the fingerboard, 4. Play the note. Ultimately the goal is to look at the note, play the note... and the sooner you get rid of the intermediate steps, the better you'll be.

Yes, I know that but I was thinking there might be one that stood out over the rest. I downloaded 4-5 and uninstalled them right away.

IMO just read some sheet music. If you are not reading standard notation ever day rust develops and you will never get fast enough to play from SN. So read standard notation every day. Not all that hard, just keep some sheet music in your brief case, by your chair, where ever may have a few free moments. Check out Amazon or what ever book store you like. There are books of sheet music with the bass clef for about .50 cents a page. Tear out the songs and take them with you. $20 should keep you in sheet music.

See, identify, and visualize where the note is on your fretboard. Yes the rhythm duration also. When you can see, identify and visualize a note in the time it would take you to say your first name - then you are ready to pick up your instrument and sound the note.

It's a journey, have fun.
