That's a real bass player.
Gotta find the album cover and see if there is any credits listed in there. Have u ever been to whosampled.com? It's handy for us hip hop folks to figure who actually got what from where. Sometimes I'll look on discogs.com if I'm looking for an obscure musicians credits, like rap bass players or girls that sing hooks etc
