Hi all. I'm the proud owner of a TT800 , I'm finding it hard to find a drive pedal for the boogie channel..
Are there any TT800 owners out there, using a drive pedal on the boogie channel?
If so, what are u using?, or have used?
I currently own 4 drive pedals, a DG A/Omega, a DG VMT, SGfx BetaV, a Aguilar storm king. The BetaV, and A/Omega work well on the subway channel, the other 2, not so much.
The Boogie channel, which i love, has unusually nuanced tones, that are new to me, none of the above drives are to my liking. . I was thinking of a zvex basstortion? I really don't know were to start, so any hints would be greatly appreciated.

What basses are you using? Active or Passive? What type of drive are you going for?

The reason I ask is because I play Very Hot Spector Euros and MOST Overdrives and Distortions don't play well with them. I tried the Boogie TT and the WD800 and didn't like either at all so I chose the D800+.

What you don't like with your pedals? Highs, lows, texture? If Boogie channel has all the sound and you need only the dirt, you need to find one with "flat" output instead of shaped. I'm still thinking that VMT Deluxe should work as you can use the switches to tailor the saturation in low and top end, and its response is moderately flat.

I have 2 basses. 1 Sandberg Nighthawk plus, currently strung with ghs pressure wounds, I run it passive 50% of time with a jazz type, i use the active pre amp with the bridge pick up set for Humbucker. Not a big vol difference between passive, or active.
Also i have gibson LPj, with a serek B90 pick up , and Labella flats. Both basses have similar outputs levels, not particularly hot.
Maybe my question is a "how long is a piece of string " , one.
I would be interested to hear what others are using on boogie channel..that is IF anyone is using a drive on it.. it's pretty glorious by itself..

I don't really know what I don't like about the 4 pedals iv tried, with the boogie channel. It's so different to what I'm used to, in my limited time playing bass (18 months). I may try a Eatherquaker Blumes, and /or a Zvex Basstortion, as 2 different approaches. (That don't cost the earth)
Really, I would like to know what other TT owners are using?, if any?
