Is there any way I can run the pre amp through this PS?

It seems as if the ISO 5 can't give it enough juice. Will the PP2 work?

Just started building a board so the only other pedals are a tuner and an OC2.

The Valvedrive DI runs on bog-standard 9V DC. The ISO-5 and pretty much any other power supply will have plenty of juice. Edit: I didn't see the high current draw requirements. Sorry!

Looks like the specs on the EBS call for 700 ma but the ISO 5 puts out a max of 400 on the higher powered output. I don't know of any power supplies rated that high, you might be better off getting a power supply that has an extra plug in on it and using the included EBS power supply.

It could work, as sometimes they rate the power requirements higher than the actual power usage. I have an ISO5 powering an Aguilar Tone Hammer and the 18v out isn't quite what Aguilar calls for (100ma instead of 300?ma) but it works fine. From research here it's actual power usage is quite low though.

So just checked out the power supply that came with the EBS. It does have 1000mah written on it. If its not something wrong with the cable then it seems the ISO 5 isn't providing enough juice for the EBS. :crying:

I just looked up the PP2 and it looks like it has an outlet on its side. Hopefully that'll work.

Sorry I didn't see the current draw of the EBS when I was looking at its web page. While it almost certainly doesn't need 1000 mA to run, it probably does need a fairly high draw for inrush current when you first power it up. So the ISO 5 may not have the juice to start it up. The plug on the PP2 will work as a place to plug in a dedicated wall wart just for the EBS. Apart from maybe some of the newer high power units from Cioks or other boutique makers, I don't think any of the bricks with isolated outlets will have more than 300 mA or so per iso outlet. (The wall plug on the PP2 will allow as much current as you need).
