Hi there, TB'ers!

Question for anyone who can provide an answer -- when you opt to make an edit to one of your previous comments on TalkBass, does the omment then contain the word "EDIT:" before your edited response?

It's probably been the way since the dawn of TalkBass, but I really noticed "EDIT:" in many others comments throughout the site.

I'm just curious if it's doing that to my own edits, just hiding the "EDIT:" so that I cannot see the "EDIT:"... make sense?

Thanks, folks!

If I go back and add something to my post, I usually insert “EDIT:” in front of it. It doesn’t happen automatically.

EDIT: In general, if it’s a very active thread, I’ll use the “EDIT:”. If the thread isn’t all that active and mine was the most recent post, I’ll usually leave out the “EDIT:”.

This is also how I handle it.

I seem to have lost the ability to edit and delete my posts. Does this mean that I've offended a moderator, or is it some sort of conflict between my browser and the BB server?

EDIT: I have those abilities immediately after posting, but they soon disappear.

The window for editing has been dramatically shortened for users that are not donating members.
