Effects for Post Pop Jazz / Jazz Funk Tunes

The setlist for my jazz trio/quartet has a few tunes that seem a little sterile with a dry signal from an electric bass guitar, especially when it comes time for me to solo -- Strasbourg St. Denis, Brother Hubbard, and Wayne's Thang. Any suggestions for how to dress up my signal? I have several effects pedals, but the Boss ME-90B, which covers most if not all the bases, is probably what I'd take to this gig.

With those songs you mentioned specifically, I’d use a chorus or maybe a reverb that would duck on the attack of the note to ensure clarity and definition. I use the HOF, myself - there’s a tone print that does exactly this and it works perfectly for jazz soloing
