Jazz tune?
I would agree. I personally did not mix the song, simply played bass on it. Was fun. Much easier than actually recording an upright. Thanks for the listenIt sounds okay but to be honest, it doesn't really have the bloom, mwah, or thuddiness that I associate with uprights, electric or otherwise.
Haha! That's a great observation and hopefully most folks do not have such a keen eye. I recorded the song long before filming the vid and I honestly could not remember the song..lolBass syncing on the video was distracting to me.
It sounded like a fretless BG.
Song is fine, no problems with it.
The writers were going for something equivalent to like Billie Holiday... I later found a better description which I think would be 'Torch Song'. Thanks for the listenJazz tune?
My acting would barely be considered acting..lol but the creators were going for a real upright sound. I personally would have mixed it differently to make it sound more like an upright. Then again, I would probably do something different on every recording I have ever done if I had the "redo". Thanks for the listen man!Sounds just like a fretless BG to me. Is that what you were shooting for? The video suggests differently, but acting is acting.
Thank you Bob. At the time of recording, the people producing the vid did not have an actual upright and nor do I. I have the BSX upright electric. So, for the vid they rented the uprightYour playing is great, but I'm confused. Is that you playing the upright in the video? Why didn't you just record that?
