Epiphone Explorer - Neck Dive Button location

Leaning B here but though I'd ask for the dive mitigation strap button placement.

B is both farther forward and also recessed a bit so less interference when in the case. I don't THINK there'll be issues with going straight into the neck heel.

Shouldn't be deep enough to hit the truss rod or something

It has 1 Gotoh and the rest look Original, Made in Korea. IDK how much heaver they are than the Gotoh though. It didn't seem like much if at all when I pulled them to clean them up. I didn't put them on the scale though.

Are they the Gotoh GB7, or one of the many lookalikes?

If so, those are already considerably lighter than the boat anchors used by Fender, but the very lightest tuners available (Gotoh Res-O-Lite GB350) are half again as light - around 60g apiece compared to 40g apiece. That can make a difference.

The Gotoh says Gotoh, but there's only 1 :D The reset or OEM. Might do the GB350s but still on the keep it or flip it fence. I got it at the "needed some love price" so dunno how much I want to invest in it. The Stock bridge is taking some Rickenbacker queues too and bent a bit. Plays/works way better now I've given it the love.

This is the first thing that I usually have to do when I get a BC Rich.
With placement B, my only concern would be if there is too much pressure on the neck joint and causing cracks in the finish/joint. Oh wait, Epi. If this was a Gibson I would be more worried. Quality is like job 3 or 4 with them.
