Ever call a number from the bathroom wall?

Long story short, I spend a lot of time at the library and often require the facilities. Somebody added the name and contact information for a fellow named BJ to the urinal rolodex today. I was curious to call him and find out why his name and number were there but I ultimately opted against it. I just figured he was looking for love, a la Tommy and Jenny.

I imagine somebody here may have followed up on one of these numbers. Maybe somebody left their number for others to call? I thought I should ask, I feel it could lead to a good story.

I haven't, but I remember reading an article in a magazine years ago where the writer did it as an experiment. The results were hilarious, but this was in the pre-caller ID days. I don't think I'd attempt it now.

I looked for numbers on the bathroom wall at Riki Rachtman's club, which is where Faster Pussycat came up with the song.

I was the only one in school that would talk to her in the beginning, because she was from NYC everyone labeled her Yankee.

Edit: I used to have a '65 VW microbus named Jenny -- after both this song and "Jenny Take a Ride."
