Double Bass Extension speaker for GK MB112

Hello to the Forum:
I use a Gallien Krueger GK MB112 II 200W combo amp for small/medium venues. I would like to use the "chain out" feature to add an extension speaker cab so that my bandmates can all hear the bass equally on stage without having to crank up the volume. I don't really need (or want) the additional wattage of the MBP powered speaker. Does anyone know if you can chain out the MB112 to a passive speaker instead? If so, what brand/model would work best?

I don't believe you can use a passive speaker as an extension unless you had more equipment in the chain. The amp doesn't actually have a speaker line out, so you wouldn't have an acceptable output to use. I think you're stuck having to get another powered speaker if you want an extension.
