Extermely loud pop on shut down GK 700RBII

I did a search but came up with nothing . This just started with MY GK 700RBII it used to make the normal pop when shut down but now is making some serious noise through my Mesa PH412. it is loud enough that it really makes thje speakers jump. I have started unplugging the cab before shutdown so it won't damage the speakers. Any suggestions or is it Tech time. If it is tech time does anyone know of a decent tech in central Mass?

You already know this, but be sure to pot down the volume to 0 before shutting off until you get it figured out. Smarter people than stupid me will chime in here.

I would recommend giving GK a call. It sounds like the power down muting circuit is not working properly. They are good folks and are sure to get you back on track with your amp.
