Fast Pizz to Arco, with German bow?

I really like this video..



Can you show us a similar video using a German bow? (Either made by you or another bassist who plays the German bow).

I noticed that people who don't switch as fast hold the French bow pointed upwards, and the German pointed downwards. But I'm not sure how to hold the German parallel to the ground to speed the switch up, like you did with the French in this video.

Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the question. I am afraid I cannot quickly do a German bow example. I really am not as proficient with German. The problem is particularly compounded by the necessary hold of that model bow. French bow easy lends itself to the technique I use, because one need not rotate the wrist/hand in order to bow or pizz. With German hold you must rotate the hand in order to get the first finger onto the string for pizz. I am sorry, it IS therefor slower. And it is a larger motion to get the bow out of the way.
