Just got a new Fender American Professional Jazz bass in and was originally thinking of throwing some seymour duncan SJB-3's in there. The dude that sold me the bass swears the fender stock v mod pickups are better. Any thoughts on which pickups you guys would go with? I love a big sound and have seymour duncan quarter pounds in my P basses. Do you guys think the SJB-3's are as nice/sound as good as the stock fender V-mod pickups??

Balance Clean Tone Vs Big Bottom Scoopy Tone.
I am sure you can dial out scoop + bassy low tone on Vmod through Amp EQ knobs; but hard to bring out the solid MID range from QP even how you tweak Amp EQ knobs.
If you want something in the middle plus hum canceling, try Dimarzio Ultra Jazz.
