fender rumble 2x10 cab with non fender head

I was looking at the Fender Rumble 2x10 cab, 350 watts at 8ohms, to use with my Mesa Subway head.... I know the Mesa puts out 400 watts at 8 ohms... not looking to push the cab too hard.. have a 1x15 LDS that I can add if I need more..

most of the reviews I read are Rumble cabs with Rumble heads. I like a little more of a modern tone than the Rumble head. my big cab is a Bergantino cn410. Looking for a budget friendly smaller rig

If you're speaking of the V3 newer Rumble cabs, then you should have no problem. The cab will have a slightly deeper voice, but should clean up nicely with the Mesa. I have run mine with my Genzler MG800 and it sounded great with my cover band in a live situation.

You should be fine, just be careful with the volume and EQ. The cab will let you know when it's had enough. The beauty of the Mesa though is the built in HP filter which will help you out a lot with that cab.

I'm sure that you would do fine with this cab. I used to own the V3 115 rumble cab, but I sold it as it never got any use. This setup alone was plenty. Too bad that you don't live closer, as I would let you come try it.

I've really enjoyed this combination the last few years. The 210 is probably the best $300 I've ever spent
