Fender Rumble and Bassman 500?

Two fairly new 500 watters from fender, has anybody ever compared the two? I've played the rumble and it's a great pedal platform, and the pure amp sounds sound great too. Is the Bassman an upgrade or a 300 dollar sidestep?

The Bassman 500 has the very same front end as the Super Bassman coupled with ICE Power section of the Rumble 500. There are several Fender Rumble Club members that own both the Rumble 500 and Bassman 500. I've played both and the Bassman has that classic Fender tube tone plus quite a few upgrades the Rumble 500 doesn't have. Fender just announced a new Bassman 800 at Summer NAMM last month in Nashville. It should be available next month.

I've had the 500 for almost a year, but I've never tried a Rumble, so I'm not much help.
