Fender Rumble Stage 800 With Extension Question

Quick question, if I were to plug this combo into my Ampeg SVT-410HLF (500w 4ohm) I'd get a total of 800w, correct? Otherwise it's just a 500w combo on it's own? I'm trying to find something I can use for home practice/rehearsal/small gigs, but can use with my older cabinet fo really bring some heat when necessary. Thanks.

For home practice, get a Rumble 40.
Any more than that is like using an 18 wheeler to go to the convenience store for a six pack.

As long as it works. I'm trying to min/max my set-up these days. Minimal gear, maximum potential. I don't get to jam or gig as much as I did in my younger years, so having a plethora of gear isn't appealing to me these days. Want to go all-in-one as much as possible

Understood. I'm thinking in terms of convenience and reducing schlepping.

I get what you're saying, honestly I probably won't even be utilizing the SVT-410HLF that often. It would depend on the gig (if it were outdoors, or just warranted the extra wattage). I'd more than likely just be moving the Stage 800 around, and given it's only like 39lbs it shouldn't be to much of a hassle. I just really wanted to verify that I could still use my old Ampeg 4x10 cab with it if need be

Ampeg makes some great gear. In the 70s I toured with a V4B head, a fridge, and a P.

Congrats on the Rumble Stage, srambo! Come mention it to the Fender Rumble Club and get a free membership.

Seriously, unless you're playing big places, the Stage 800 will do ya nicely, especially if you have FOH. For anything small to medium, I'd bet you the Fender will give you more than enough to cut through. I owned one and last used it a couple of years ago for a church gig. five other members of the band, three guitars, and the Stage 800 held it all together beautifully. I angled it upwards and used the DI, but probably didn't need to. And you're right, it's not bad to haul around; a lot less hassle than the 410 cab you're talking about. Yep, you can run that cabinet along with the combo's speakers for your very own 6x10, but I'd only do it if I really felt I need to. Otherwise, maybe add a 210 ext cab and still have plenty of volume plus a little easier time bringing in and out.

Good hunting! :)
