Fender Rumble Stage 800 x 2

Is it possible to connect to Fender 800s together in parallel/serial? or would it be best to just grab a Fender 210 Cab + Fender 800 and call it a day?

Thanks
M

Yo, Marco! Congratulations on your interest in the great Rumble Stage 800! Giffro's right, the Rumble Club is the place to ask Rumble questions and discuss.

Sure. FX Send of the master to FX Return of the slave.

Well, actually, no, it's not that easy for the Stage 800. For the non-modeling Rumble combos, yes, FX Send of one to FX Return of the other is a great way to connect 2 combos and use just one control panel for both.

But, the bass modeling Stage and Studio combos' FX Send is, somehow, different from the other Rumbles and doesn't give a strong enough signal, or some other way(?), to get full amplification when sent to another amp's FX Return. This situation is a recent discovery to be discussed in the Rumble Club. Sorry.

Rumble FX Sends are, however, safe to send to the instrument input of other Rumbles. So, I send my Studio's mono FX Send to the input of my Rumble 500 combo running flat EQ settings. I haven't heard of anyone running 2 Stages like this, though. That would be an interesting discussion point.

Personally, I'd go for the matching Rumble 210 extension cab(s), 'cause one Stage can run 2 8 ohm cabs! Unless I wanted to run 2 Stages via a splitter to get different settings on each. Actually, my dream STEREO rig is to connect my Studio's 2 FX Sends to the FX Returns of 2 super powered Rumble rigs, like a couple Rumble 800 HDs each pushing four Rumble 410 cabs for a total of 32 tens pumpin' da bass!!! :woot:

Good luck, sir.

I own a Stage 800 with the 210 ext cab made just for the Stage 800. It is plenty loud and moves some air. I play in a rock cover band with 2 guitars and a heavy handed drummer. I rarely turn up past noon. Maybe a hair past that on a big stage. Can’t imagine needing much more volume than that. But it’s there if I needed it. Plus dealing with 2 heads would be tough if you plan on stacking them vertically. The head is attached to the back and with the other cab on top of it you will have no way to adjust the controls. Save yourself 400 bucks and just get the 210 ext cab.

You certainly should be able to connect two Stage 800's (or combination with the Studio 40) that way (FX Send -> FX Recv), but there would be little reason to. The "slaved" Stage would still have an active volume control, but all of the modelling in the preamp would be bypassed (driven instead by the "master" Stage). Since a Stage has plenty of power to run cabinets, why go to the extra expense and effort to cobble two together?
