Just saw a 1994 '62 usa reissue jazz bass with V073XXX ser. number on the neckplate (the seller says it's a '96 avri jb) on reverb.com. However Fender web site says:. The only way to definitively date U.S. instruments with “V”-prefix serial numbers is to remove the neck and check the butt end of the neck heel for a production date, which may be stamped or written there.

Some V03.... are used at early Custom Shop Models in 1987

This one looks like an typical AVRI Corona 1995 (grain see through, dark pickguard, no ashtray holes) model.
