Fender Urban Short-scale Bass gigbag

I own one and my Fender Modern Player short scale Jazz Bass is sitting in it. Seems to be well made. Zippers work well and there are two pockets, pair of carry handles and back straps. The padding is not as thick as most, maybe 20 mm or so, but that is fine because it stays with me constantly. Fender logo is silver and the bag is very attractive.

wait - they made a short scale modern player jazz bass? wow, i missed that one somehow. does it have the jazz bass sound?

btw, it has "11 mm internal foam padding" according to fender

i guess since i already have a P/J mustang, i don't need to go hunting one of the short scale jazzes down, but i did feel GAS rearing its head there for a minute...

Glad you found it so quickly. I preordered one and took me about 5 1/2 moths for it to come in at Sweetwater. No one had them at the time. Interestingly, When the PJ Mustang came out a year or so ago they originally came with the gigbag. Then they raised the price and discontinued the practice of selling the bag with it. There is also a short scale hardshell case sold by rondomusuic.com if you want to go that route eventually.

they run out of those cases at sweetwater constantly. i was on the list to be emailed when they came into stock this week, and so many were pre-ordered that they sold out before 5 am the same day.

a hardshell case at rondo? that's very good to know - the mustang hard case is pretty expensive and doesn't sound like it's the best quality.

It is probably not much better. Wouldn't doubt they come from the same factory. Considerably less in price, however.
