Fender V string spacing?

Hey guys, I’m looking into getting a nordy mute to fit my Fender Pro Precision 5 string.
For this I need to know the string spacing. I can take a guess and say it’s the Fender standard of 19mm but I’m sure the jazz V is different so this could be too? I thought I’d ask and see if anyone knows by heart?

Ps I have measured myself but I’m not too sure where to start/end. (Is it from on top of the string/or the gap between) and the distance is so small I struggled to get an accurate take. if someone can explain excactly where to measure that would be helpful too

Cheers guys.

Measure from the centers of the strings right at the saddles. It should be 18.5-19mm on a Fender V--all three of my Fender V have spacing in that range. It can usually be easier to measure from the D to G since they are much thinner.

@bigtone23 @Turnaround @sissy kathy

So it would be 69, then divide that by 4 for 17.25?
That just seems too low?
Does the string gauge have an effect on this?
Thanks again

Here's a couple measurements on two of my Fender Vs--the '00 P V Dlx and '14 Dimension H V Dlx. The P V has the same bridge as yours, and string spacing can vary due to what slot you drop the string. The Dimension has the Fender/Omega bridge with pre cut slots. Perspective makes the ruler look off, but there are close ups of the string spacing--both are about 72/73mm-ish. Doing the math, I get 18-18.25mm string spacing.

This is not correct. You must measure from the center of first string to the center of the last string. Fender says it is 17.5mm

Hmm...
"Fender Says" vs "Bigtone23 Measures."
I'll take verified and replicated personal experience for $800, Alex...
The measurements were taken from the B to G string centers and divided by 4:
'14 Dlx Dimension V: 72.5mm/18.125mm
'97 Dlx Jazz V: 73.5mm/18.375mm
'00 Dlx Precision V: 72.5mm/18.125mm
For fun--'22 Squier CV 70s Jazz V: 72mm/18mm
If I were to seat the B & G in the furthest outside slots of the saddles on the J and P, I could pull off 76.5mm/19.125mm.
interesting, 19.125mm is .75", which is the typical spacing of a Fender 4. I used to seat my strings wider on these basses, but brought them in to be consistent to the Dimension and Squier, and to feel a touch less wide compared to my Musicman. FWIW, my Musicman measures 70mm/17.5mm.
It's long been known that 17.5mm is typical of a Musicman or G&L 5er spacing, with exception of the G&L '750' series 5ers, which use the 3/4" spacing (to get that Fender crowd). Fenders are wider, some Ibanez are more narrow. I have an older Peavey with 16.5mm spacing.

The saddles in a normal Fender bridge are face to face so you could also judge by the width of one saddle or take the sum of saddles and divide by the number of saddles if that is easier. That would give a nominal value which may not be true for saddles with multiple string grooves as some seem to have.
