Fender Vintera I Mustang Bass $563.49 on Amazon!

EDIT: Sorry folks. I posted this in the wrong thread. I meant for it to go in the thread for the Vintera '60s Jazz Bass!!! Doh!!!

I've always loved the looks of this bass, although I never played one. I pulled the trigger this morning for one on Amazon for $587.00. But the more I thought about it I realized I didn't really need it. I have a Lakland Skyline Jazz in Aztec Gold with the J-Sonic pickups that's pretty close in color. I just didn't want to pass up this deal.

But reason got the better of lust and I cancelled the order soon after placing it. Yeah, I guess I really AM that wishy-washy. But here's my Lakland:

If I didn’t already have an MIM p/j Mustang I’d be all over this. I like the looks of this one all around better than mine (except the color), but mine’s a great instrument, so even in the context of TalkBass I can’t justify it.

That Lakland is gorgeous. Might be the wrong thread, but I’m happy to see it.

I snagged one, and it's going back. Maxed the truss rod and still too much relief. Based on that example, I don't think that bass is worth it, even at the discounted price. I'm sure others have had better luck though.

Nope! I made a thread about it last week. I got sent a used/refurbished model with a PJ neck and non-hipshot tuners. Pickups also sounded super weak, so they might not have been fender spec.

either way it got sent back. Adorama had a similar deal and that Mustang was in good condition.
