Finally wrote to Fender on scarcity of 32" medium scale length basses

This comment should go directly to the CEO. As a bassist I have feverishly been searching to find the Precision or Jazz bass in a 32" medium scale version. These were produced by Fender Japan for a short time, then discontinued. The CEO should check out talkbass.com (TalkBass.com) and do a search for 32" medium scale Fender basses. "Note the popularity (SOLD) vs the scarcity". If Fender is looking to endear the music instrument buying public, this is a great way to re-introduce a version of bass that many feel is missing.

The shorts are too short, the longs too long. What prompted my writing is that I currently use a medium scale viola bass by Epiphone and love the accessibility to the fret board. I would buy both jazz and precision in a heartbeat were it released in a medium scale! Though certain manufacturers such as Ibanez regularly stock a medium scale, many would like a Fender sound from the Precision and Jazz bass for example. Certain newer manufacturers (SX) offer a medium scale ash/ alder jazz copy in a medium scale as well as P copies in standard 34" scale length. They recognize there is a market for these medium scale basses and offer at least one model.

2019 Fender P-Bass

1999 Fender Jazz Bass

2019 Music Man Ray 5

2008 Epiphone Viola Bass.

Thanks for Listening!

Did you ever find your Fender 32" P or J bass? I just found out about them recently and I'm like you my 30" is too small and the 34" are too long. I was going to try SX or Aria for J style but I'm going to hold out for a P.
