I recently finished an album with my band, Flat Daddy. I'm very happy with the tone. I dare say I am a flats convert now for the most part. Took years to get there but it's what I like now.
The setup is: 1975 Rickenbacker 4000 w/TI JF344's to
Thunderfunk TFB420 (Timbre 1 click to the left) to
Revsound RS210 to
Shure SM7B.
And I'll guess the engineer ran some compression. This rig gets better lowend out of the Rick that I've ever been able to get.
