(edit) Sorry, I edited the scale lengh, it's not 32"" but 30", my bad!
Hi, guys, I need some help figuring out which flatwounds are suitable for my bass, an old 30” Ibanez tele bass from 1971. At the moment I’m with some roundwounds which were lying around. The set was for 34” scale. I think it’s a 45-105 set. I had to move the E and A bridge saddle (it’s a two saddle bridge) as closer to the back of the bridge as possible for intonation reasons. That is why I’m nervous about buying strings with silk at the ball end.
The other thing is that I’m waiting a Squier Bronco bridge at the end of the month to replace the old bridge so I’ll have some opportunity to correct the intonation problem a bit, placing the new one a little bit further (at least what I’m planning to do if needed).
What is your advice! Any help is appreciated!
