I sense you're probably too young to remember the "Wide Receiver" and "Prove it(yourself)" hits he had... They were huge... And those hits led me to investigating his work previously. Thereby, discovering his contributions to Stevie Wonder, and therefore, Miles Davis.

No, I suspect he never worked in a Warehouse... That I'm aware of...
