jermaine jackson!!! p bass on the original recording but by god look at any of his live performances with a jazz bass and that thump will get into your soul.
isn’t that the same amp (or similar amp) that john paul jones used??? another notably thumpy jazz bass player...Has a lot to do with the Acoustic Control Corp 360 he's playing through.

Bag End S15 cabs are life.No doubt. I've played a few gigs on J-basses through Bag End 15" cabs, which produced serious thump. Loved it, so much so that I considered buying one of those cabs. I usually favor the neck pickup, which helps, but with the Lace Man o' War pickups in my G&L JB, I get plenty of thump with both up full.
Here's what my '05 MIJ Jazz through my Orange Terror Bass rig sounds like.

Dude, the Rumble 500 is the perfect weekend warrior amp. It has no right to sound as good as it does for how cheap and light it is.Lol I just noticed this night I used my backup Fender Rumble 500, the Orange decided not to work that night. Luv the Rumble it's saved me more than once.
