So after living quite a while in Japan and never having a chance to buy one... and after searching off and on for a long time, I finally bought a Fender Japan PBass "ExTrad".
These basses (also the guitars) are nearly impossible to find. The strats can be found on Reverb and Ebay sometimes but the basses almost never.
I am a happy camper. Anyone who knows about these beauties will know Fender Japan wanted to create basses as near the original '57s as possible. They sent techs around the States to obtain the best tone woods and used all US parts. It is a tad heavy but I love it.
Just thought I would share my excitement with you folks who love the bass!
