Hi, I auditioned at Berklee College two years ago, 2016 December, on drums and I was rejected. Thinking back, I can pick out a few things I screwed up on because i was so nervous yet confident thinking I was certainly going to make it into the school. Now in a week I will be auditioning again for 2018 admittance on electric bass. I was told by a student who goes there that maybe I should try a different instrument where they lack females. ( I am a multi instrumentalist) Going in this time I would like to know what are the things the staff looks for and how accepting are they with "any style" genres for the prepared piece? I'm thinking of playing a classic metal tune because it is what I play best and am most confident with. Is the prepared piece what determines your acceptance or is it the overall knowledge of music and theory?
