fret buzz

new Ibanez SR650.

I have frett buzz on the 1st fret. E string only.

I have raised the bridge quite a bit. It did help some, unless the string is plucked pretty hard.

Time to adjust the truss?

To be clear- fretting on the 1st fret, buzzing on the 2nd, or buzzing on the 1st on an open E?

If it's the open E, then the nut slot may be a little low.

Not on open E. Fretting on 1st, Buzz somewhere ...not sure where. Seems like on second or third fret.

Was going to tape or pad the second and third fret to determine, but did it have time last night

Need to check if its a high fret.

Do the tap test- fret the 1st then tap on the 2nd, 3rd. The (relatively) high one will not sound. But that could also be because the 1st is low.

Measure the height of the frets in question with a caliper. If one end of a fret is a few thou higher than the others, you may be able to gently tap it down to the required height.
