G&L L2500 serial mode too loud

I tried to Google but didn't find anything, please help if you know the answer.

As we all know, a serial mode on G&L L2500 is louder than parallel or single coil mode. Is there a way to solve this by puting a small resistor in series or is there some other solution?

Thanks! I did serial/outer coil/parallel mode a year ago, and now it's time for some new soldering. I'll keep you posted.

That is what I did but it is not very practical on stage.

Yes, series ;-) Sorry - english is not my native language.

It's not practical if you don't know it's going to happen, but if you do know, you adjust the volume knob & then hit the switch.

On the last gig I played half a set too quiet because I was doing volume adjusting on the fly and didn't notice that it was too quiet.
I was thinking about using boost pedal to even volume, but this looks to me like a permanent solution. And it's a nice workout in soldering, little thing I can brag about to my bass/guitar friends ;-)

It was half hour job, resistors cost about $ 0.09 ;-)
I don't have an amp at home so I tried it on some multi effect with headphones and all settings have even volumes.
I'll try it at rehearsal at thuesday for the final evaluation.

My amp is at a rehearsal space so I can't really tell. I'll know by thuesday after I try it on real amp and with a band.

I tested it yesterday at rehearsal an sound is still there. It is great relief to have even volumes in all configurations.
