Hey guys,

Anyone can comment on the neck profile on the LB-100 ? Mostly regarding the thickness. Is it more like a thick "C" or a thin "C" ?

I currently have a D. Lakin Bob Glaub which neck is shaped based on Glaub's '64 P-Bass ans that neck is addictive.

I think it's the same neck also as the Lakland 44-64.

So I was wondering if the neck on the LB-100 was similar. I'm talking about the vintage spec one with 1 3/4 nut.

Thanks.

Mine is the #12 neck and I have posted the specs below. My LB 100 is the single best sounding P bass I have ever played. That said I have a hand issue and I have had to switch to Jazz neck. I will probable be putting it up for sale soon. I hate to see it just sit and not get played. I just have not been able to make myself list it as I truly love it. You can see it in my aviator. I also have a 2 44-64 Laklands and it is a totally different size and feel. The Lakland is a smaller and thinner neck.

1 5/8” Medium C

1 5/8” nut width sits right between the traditional P and J bass widths, and Leo offered this nut width in the ‘80s. Generous edge roll with a medium depth and taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.940” at 12th fret. These specs were part of the #11 and #12 necks.

mine is a 90s one too, but not a 1.75 inch nut like the glaub, it's 1 5/8" nut just like my 83 L2000
i love this neck profile so much that i actually wish that my sb-2 had it as well, gonna playbass now and not talkbass
