Hi,
I have recently switched from Innovation silver slaps to set of gut-a-like strings and the new g-string is completely in the slot of the nut. My understanding is that the string should just sit slightly in the groove.
I have read that there are lots of possible remedies for this such as raising and then filing the nut, filling the gap with superglue etc. but do I need to do anything about this as it doesn't seem to be creating any buzzing or alter the way that the string plays as far as I can tell? Or is it something that could affect the string over time?
Thanks
