Galien-Krueger Mb112 II build issues?

I'm thinking about buying a GK mb112 II combo, honestly everything about it seems great.
It's light, has a 4-band eq, cheap and it can run a cabinet if I need more power.

The problem is I've read that it isn't build very well.
Some people say that it's just poor quality and will decay after half a year, other people suggest that GK has poor quality inspection and some bad products will come out of their factory.

Does anyone have any experience with the combos on whether they are poorly build or not?

And how does it sound with an upright?

Reviews on the internet(note that this is just a few negative ones out of a lot of good ones):

This amp does sound great. The problem is it has died on me twice, both during gigs. The speaker starting crackling and the amp just gave out. I may have been pushing the amp harder then it could take. This amp is not meant for big clubs. If you are planning to play gigs in big clubs with your band, do not buy this amp. Get the 15 inch version instead. The first time I had the amp repaired it was under warranty. This time around I am going to have to pay for the repair then I am selling it. I would say do not take a chance with this amp if you play gigs on a regular basis, and definitely buy something with more power. Overall great sound but not reliable.

Unfortunately I have to give this amp a bad review. It blew out on me about 6 months after I bought it (used from GC) and repairing it would have meant basically replacing the whole thing. I have also owned the 115 combo and the 212 combo. The 212 had a similar problem and was returned under warranty and I sold the 115 out of fear. These are great sounding amps, but I think there is a lot of poor build quality going on here. I have switched brands and will not be buying any GK equipment in the future

Random anonymous internet reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially from Guitar Center....and especially on equipment purchased used from Guitar Center.

Off course it should, you're right. I assume, and hope, that those were just a few bad examples, but put it out here to check if anybody had experienced anything similar.

Thanks for your replies, it helps a lot in terms of choosing whether or not to buy.
