I think my question has been addressed before – but I am still not clear.
I just looked at the spec's of my new MB112 combo and was wondering if I really need the slave MBP112 amp (for larger venues) vs. just using getting a second MB112 combo. Most places are sold out of the MBP112 right now - and I can get a deep discount on second MB112 combo.
My questions are:
1. Would a second MB112 do the same as the "chain" out MBP amp?
2. The "chain" out XLR is post eq. Probably not a good way?
3. The XLR DI has a pre and post eq switch. Maybe this way using pre eq?
4. Then if I had to run the whole deal into a house PA, could the XLR of the 2nd MB112 combo be used?
Why I am even considering this is that I can get the MB112 about same price as the MBP112 slave. AND- that would give me 2 combo amps in case one crapped out.
Hope you can set me straight on this so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. If the MBP112 slave is the way to go - I will just do that (when the dealers get them in again). In meantime I still have my old large/heavy amps I can use if needed.
Thanks
