GAS pains: Ric 4003SW or USA Geddy Jazz?

I have the chance to get either a Rickenbacker 4003SW or a USA Fender Geddy Lee Jazz for a good price. I think both are beautiful instruments and I like the features of both, but I've never seen one in the flesh.
Here's my conundrum: I already own Rics and Jazzes, including a 4001, a 4003 and an older 4003S (none has the push-pull pot), and a 2012 AmStd Jazz and a '74 AVRI.
Which (if either) of these basses would add the most in terms of tones I don't already have covered? I assume the Ric would hold its value better should I ever sell it? Which of these basses would be most different from the Rics and Js I already own in terms of tone, weight and playability? Or should I just hang onto my dough and eat carrots?
Any and all opinions on both or either bass would be appreciated.
BTW, I play soul, blues and '60s-'70s pop and rock.

I lean towards the Rick, those new 4003SW basses are really nice looking and if it's a Rick, you know it's going to play, look and sound good. I'm not partial to signature basses anyway although I do love Jazz basses. I think you're right about it holding it's value better.

Does the 4003sw have the push-pull? A cursory Google search didn't give me an answer.

Still tough to say, push-pull gives you 4001 and 4003 without switching basses. Given your current armada this would be the biggest difference when playing live. If you don't switch playing live I only see aesthetics here.

Unless you get into the whole "wood sounds different" thing which I can't hear.

The geddy sig looks like a nice bass but I don't see it adding to your inventory tonally.

They're both good basses, but I doubt either will really give you a new tone. The push/pull vintage knob on the Rick will give you some flexibility that the Ricks without it don't have, though a bit of rewiring on one of your current Ricks would offer the same. Resale on the Rick is likel better, so you could always sell it and get the Geddy if you don't bond with the walnut. Regarding weight, the walnut Ricks are consistently lighter than the rest, I don't know about the Geddy compared to ther J basses.

I'm leaning towards the Geddy, but the answer is to play them both and decide which is more comfortable and sounds best. I've actually heard that the GL tone is amazing. I want to try one sometime.

That's a helluvalotta carrots.

Can you elaborate on the difference in tone between the Geddy and other Js, Digital Man? Or anyone else?

I would say the US Geddy has a more agressive tone and more even response across the midrange. Not scooped like the CS60 sound of the US Standard. Also a little "warmer" than a CIJ Geddy due to stronger mid presence. It's not mid-forward like a P either. I think the even response plays really well with a touch of OD in the chain.
