The guy I bought it from did put a thin layer of bubble wrap around the bass to help with movement, but pretty much just slapped my address on the box it comes with and shipped it.

Yeah I wouldn't either, but it did arrive safe and sound. Considering it came from another country like that and was in one piece, it definitely handled the rough bag handlers in both countries and was well worth the money! And I didn't get it for 50% off!!

Great cases for protection of the bass, but a PIA to travel with.

Heavy, doesn't fit in an airline cabin, doesn't fit in most Ubers.

I have a small pickup truck. So it's really easy for me to toss them in the cargo area and go. But I wanted to chime in and agree with you for future shoppers. I wouldn't want to take them in a ride share or subway. I would, however, be willing to gate check them for air travel. They definitely won't carry-on.
