Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0-8T with Phil Jones Cab 27?

I love my small genz benz shuttle 3.0 with 8” cab but am thinking of adding another cab for greater volume. The Phil Jones Cab 27 looks like it might be a good complement but I’m wondering if I’ll run into any phase issues or them not playing well together. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

I looked up the PJB cabinet and there are no specs available, so it's likely a crap-shoot as to how well it works with your Shuttle.

I would certainly recommend testing it out before buying it, that way if you find that it doesn't meet your needs you aren't out any money (just some time and effort).

You might look to see if you can find a used Shuttle 10T extension cabinet, that one has been tested and the alignment is quite close to the 8T combo cabinet.

Thanks Agedhorse for your response. I will try to arrange to play the cab with my shuttle combo prior to purchase decision (which is always good advice). I’m just not certain of what to listen for relating to potential phase issues... will it be obvious to hear? Thanks!

Listen for added low end extension and a natural character from the mids. Both ranges can interact.
