Hi folks

I purchased my first cab recently and for the most part I love it but apparently I didn't test it enough before buying it used. I've noticed that both the HIGH EQ knob and the HIGH filter button (the right most button) have no noticeable effect on the sound quality. I have tried different basses and different cables. How could I troubleshoot this issue? I am not afraid to open the cabinet but I'm also not a wizardly tech.

Thanks

There is some issues with wirings inside the shuttle.
You will find some connectors that are plugged and some of them with time stops making contacts at least on one or two pins.
You can unplug them and replug them, it will grind on the copper contact and make better contacts.

I can't hear the difference between tweeter on or off while playing through my rumble 200C.
I had to put a tone generator app on my iPad and play it through the amp's aux in to tell that it was working.
The tweeter is a subtle change on mine, plus my high end hearing is shot.
So I needed to do an audio test with tones to hear the diff.

Ummm, except that there are NO CONNECTORS involved with ANY of the functions the OP mentioned. Therefore this can not possibly be a "connector problem". Good try though.

What it sounds like, based on your description of the symptoms AND my knowledge of the circuit (I designed it after all) is that your amp may have received impact on the front, breaking the inside conductive tracks on those controls (or the control's PC terminals).

If you are located in t he US or Canada, I have a flat rate repair program for the Shuttle amps and stock every part. PM me and I will get you the info.
